In the episode of The One Problem, Hedieh Safiyari, founder of Prompt Health Talks about a Canadian platform where people can get answers to some of their health questions from medical experts.

Hi there. My name is Avil Beckford, and I'm the host of the One Problem Podcast. We know that there are tons of problems in the world, but we're going to focus on one problem at a time. My guests come on, they present a problem, and they offer their solutions. It's a way for all of us to learn from each other. Today, my very special guest is Hedieh Safiyari, and she is the founder of Prompt Health. Over to you, Hedieh.

Thank you, Avil. So, here's the problem. If you ask about some health concern or goal you might have whether it's insomnia, hormonal imbalance, mental health, emotional health, whatever it might be, you'll get a different answer from everyone. Each time I'm going to go into reasons, and people go around asking family and friends, do a Google search, random referrals even from their family, doctors. And the reality is what works for you might be very different from the next person. There are millions of results on Google searches, which is even more confusing when people turn to the digital world.

There are non-expert influencers giving advice about health. And there's also a very fragmented marketplace when it comes to wellness and healthcare solutions because they've never been combined. So, Prompt Health is a platform and app that is trying to solve this problem. We call it Wellness Navigator. We are vetting the experts by giving them a home. Anyone who offers a holistic approach to help will be vetted and is on this platform. We already have providers from all across Canada on the platform. And we're enabling them to educate people with different content on the platform, so they can create voice memos, blogs, events, whatever that is easier for them to share their knowledge.

So, it's not only for people to come and learn from the experts directly. But they can also connect, and they get to learn all their options in one place, which is more effective than any random search on your own. And that's the main problem in health care. Right now, you're left alone in your wellness journey to figure it out by yourself. And Prompt Health is your Wellness Navigator and over to you, Avil.

So, before we wrap up, how long has the solution been in effect?

So Prompt Health was launched last year around this time. Our initial version was just a connection, connecting people based on their individualized needs to different health and wellness services. But what we learned over the past year on different social media platforms is a lot of people are providing knowledge that are not necessarily experts. So we said, okay, we've created this hub of experts because they are vetted. We're going to enable them to share knowledge in easy formats because we see that a lot of them are not doing it because, for example, Instagram, Reels or videos are not for everyone.

So that's why we brought in easy solutions like voice and blogs and events and different formats, whatever they're comfortable with to share knowledge. So people come and learn from trusted people. And then whenever the need arises, they can also connect with them. So the new version, we just released now.
