I must be one of the few people who hasn't read any of the Harry Potter books by J K Rowling (I have since read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone). I have read her biography and am inspired by the way she attained professional success. It shows that each of us can succeed if we are determined. I had heard of The Tales of Beedle The Bard by J K Rowling, but hadn't read it either, so why am I reviewing it?

A colleague asked me to tutor his younger brother who needs help with writing essays, so I thought the best way to do that would be to give him books to read and ask him to write an essay on it based on a topic that I chose.

I went into the bookstore and The Tales of Beedle the Bard was one of the many books that were on sale. My thinking is that I should start off my student with something simple. The Tales of Beedle the Bard was one of three books that I purchased. Since I'd like my student to write an essay on the book, it makes sense that I read the book as well. If I'm going to read it then I should review it for my readers, and that's why I am reading The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

What is The Tales of Beedle The Bard by J K Rowling About?

At 105 pages, large print and small-sized book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard is a short and easy read. The book consists of five short tales: The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump and The Tale of the Three Brothers.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard, complements the Harry Potter books and is mentioned in the seventh book. When it was mentioned in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it was a fictional book, which Rowling has since brought to life. Harry Potter officianados will understand the language, and characters will be familiar.

The five stories are fairy tales with a twist, and with fairy tales, there is usually a moral to the story. Here are some lessons that I extracted from the stories:
