What is How to Be a No-Limit Person By Wayne W. Dyer About?
How to Be a No-Limit Person is an audio book that I listened to at 2.5 X speed. Wayne Dyer had a wicked sense of humor. I laughed so much as I listened to the book. In a nutshell, this book is about taking back your power. We’re living in a society where we attribute the things that happen to us to others. And we put limits around how much we can accomplish in life.
What if you decided there was no-limit to what you can accomplish? How much more would you be able to accomplish in life? Take for instance, my Read 30 Books in 30 Days Reading Challenge, people see it and immediately think, I can’t do that. What if instead they flipped the script and said, how about I give it a go. It’s about giving yourself the freedom to try something new. You may read only 15 or 10 books. But in the end, you would have read more books. In what ways are you holding yourself back because of the messages that you tell yourself?
Dyer recommends that you process your world in a way that works for you. You’re taught to make decisions that aren’t good for you. How about you instead respond to situations in a solution-oriented way. Always look for solutions instead of complaining about things you have to control over. You’re the sum total of the choices you’ve made in life. Take control of what goes into your head.
How you react to an event is more important than the event itself. The world is experiencing a crisis right now, how are you processing what’s going on about you? Have you taken time to reflect on how your life has changed and what opportunities may be presenting themselves to you? Take responsibility for how you’re feeling. Bad things always happen. And they happen to everyone.
Some people will be part of the problem. While others will be part of the solution. Although it’s hard, try to be part of the solution. Believe you me, I’m writing this summary of How to Be a No-Limit Person By Wayne W. Dyer for you and for me. I need to hear this as well. I think that’s why I couldn’t focus on reading The Inevitable because that’s not the message my soul needed now.
A piece of advice that I particularly liked in the book is that we allow people to treat us the way they do. So when someone deals with you in an offensive way, instead of grumbling and getting angry, send the ball back over to their side of the court. It’s their issue and not yours. Take responsibility for everything that happens in your life. Never give permission to others to treat you badly.
Deep inside, you know the choices you have to make. People’s opinions are just that. They have little value. Don’t let their opinion hurt you. I thought this insight from Dyer was interesting because there is a lot of talk about your online reputation. He says that reputation is other people’s opinion. And he referenced the book, What You Think of Me Is None of My Business.
“What other people think about you is none of your business.”
Be concerned about your character because that’s something that you have control over. And don’t be concerned with what others think of you. Another important insight that’s relevant to this moment in time is that there are always opportunities amidst adversity. Be like a child again to experience no-limits. Figure out how you can be effective in the midst of constraints. What do you want out of the experience? For instance, what would you like to happen to/for you post isolation? What steps can you take now to make sure you achieve that goal?

When Opportunity Knocks Do You Grab It Or Allow It to Slip By?
The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday, Book Review
Unclog your body. Practice self-love. Have a quiet love affair with yourself. Reinforce wellness. You’re a human being, not a human doing. You can have control over yourself. Although it may be easier to blame others for the events that take place in your life, instead, take responsibility for what happened. Choose to be enlightened.
Never panic because that means you don’t know what to do. Do something, anything. When you do nothing, inertia sets in. This causes you to become stagnant and that’s the last thing you want or need. When you’re taking action, you are so busy you don’t have time to be depressed. Dyer added that one step above inertia is striving. When you strive, you arrive nowhere. Live in the ‘now’ and not in ‘tomorrow’ or in the ‘future.’
Dyer adds that most people live in a state of the idealized or the demoralized. None of those are good for you. Live each day as if it was your last day on earth. Be normal and look at your potential. You can’t have a sense of purpose if you’re following other people’s rules. Focus on personal mastery. Be the healthiest you can be. Don’t worry about what others think about you. Be in mastery every day of your life. Control comes from within.
The relationships you have with others should be a choice. Surround yourself with the right people.
Final Thoughts: How to Be a No-Limit Person By Wayne W. Dyer
How to Be a No-Limit Person By Wayne W. Dyer is about tough love. Several things he said in the book are tough pills to swallow. However, are you open to trying something new, if what you’re doing isn’t working?
