What are your strengths (When Was the Last Time You Conducted a SWOT Analysis)? When was the last time you tested your limits? And how far can you go?
Each year, in front of the William Ashley store on Bloor Street in Toronto, on display, is a race car mounted on four china teacups . Who would have thought that bone china was that strong? Although this is a yearly occurrence, people always stop to marvel at the sight – I stop to marvel at the sight. It seems unnatural that something that’s considered to be so delicate, could be so strong. It makes you wonder, “What are your strengths?”

This got me thinking, that far too often, we underestimate what we can accomplish, we seldom push the limits to test our true capabilities. We never try to figure out what our true strengths are. Summer officially started in the Western hemisphere, and it’s usually a time when things slow down. What if you took the next two months to push the limits of what you think you can do? How about if you sequestered yourself for a four-day weekend and write that book you’ve been meaning to write, or develop that awesome training that would benefit others? What important project has been sitting on your back burner?
Your first attempt doesn’t have to be a masterpiece, you can build on that. But it’s important that you test your limits because that’s the only way you can discover what you are capable of – what are your strengths? What are you good at? If you are uncertain of what your strengths are then it's time to conduct a personal SWOT Analysis.
