Introduction: Harry Potter Drone Show Comes to Toronto
If you love Harry Potter, you’ll love a unique event coming to Toronto and other global cities. Toronto fans of the wizarding world have an additional reason to look up. This September, the Harry Potter drone show will turn the night sky into a stage. No screen. No theatre seat. Just 1,200 illuminated drones over the city, moving in formation to tell scenes from the films.
What is the Harry Potter Drone Show
The event is called the DroneArt Show: Harry Potter. It comes from Nova Sky Stories, and it is presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Fever. The show marks the 25th anniversary of the film series. It was launched in Los Angeles earlier this year, and now it is on its way to cities around the world. Toronto is one stop. Stops include over 25 major cities across North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Instead of a screen, the drones fly in synchronized patterns above the crowd. They recreate familiar images and moments from the films. A live electric violinist plays alongside the film score during key parts of the show. Guests also get LED wristbands, which light up and become part of the visual display.
Where and When in Toronto
The Toronto show takes place at YZD, the former Downsview Airport, at 590 Wilson Ave in North York. September 25 and September 26, 2026 are the two dates selected for the show. Both shows start at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Organizers suggest arriving early, since late entry may not be allowed. The show runs about 60 minutes, with an intermission included.
Before the show, guests can browse Harry Potter-themed merchandise. Options include wands, scarves, and other collectibles. Butterbeer is available at select venues, along with other wizard-inspired treats.
Harry Potter Drone Show: Tickets and Prices
Presale tickets open on Monday, August 17, through the Fever platform. Fans who join the waitlist first get early access and a discount on presale prices. General ticket sales begin on Wednesday, August 19, at 10 a.m.
General admission is priced at $75.90 for ages 12 and up. Tickets for children ages three to 11 are $53.90. Group bookings and private full-venue rentals are also available for corporate events or large gatherings.
Why It Stands Out
Drone shows are not new to Toronto. Holiday events and festivals have used them for years. What makes this show different is the scale and the story behind it. It is not a display of shapes and colors. It is a full aerial retelling of scenes fans already know, set to the original film music.
This also reflects a wider shift in event technology. Drone fleets are moving beyond holiday finales and theme park closers. They are becoming ticketed, story-driven experiences built around major franchises. For a city with a large and active fan base, that shift lands well.
Should You Go
If you grew up with these films, or you are raising a young witch or wizard of your own, this show offers something different from a rewatch at home. The open-air format means the entire sky becomes the screen, and the format changes depending on where you stand in the crowd.
Tickets for the Harry Potter Drone show will probably move fast once general sales open on August 19. If you want a seat under the Toronto sky for this Harry Potter drone show, the waitlist and presale window are the places to start.
