The leader who consistently sees connections others miss occupies a different position entirely. They bring frameworks from unexpected sources and apply them precisely to live problems. They read broadly and think laterally. That combination is genuinely difficult to substitute.
Syntopical reading and intersection thinking build that position. Neither requires more time than you are already spending on reading. Both require a deliberate shift in how that time is used.
