Are you tired of using the same quotes repeatedly, or seeing the same quotes being used everywhere? Here, you’ll discover quotes I find meaningful.
The perfect quotes that are well-placed can make the difference between a boring piece of communication and one that sings. But, if everyone is using the same quotes, your writing quickly becomes stale.
In the past, whenever I saw a great quote I liked, I entered it into my “Quotes That I Like” file for future use. I realized that since I'm always taking notes of great ideas I come across, I can create quotations to use in my writing. I quickly collected many new quotes that I could use anytime. No one else could use these quotes unless they read the same books and interviewed the same people that I did.
Here is a tip that I’d like to share with you so that you too can create quotes for your personal use. Whenever you are reading a book, make sure that you have a pen and highlighter handy. If a phrase is meaningful to you, it will probably be meaningful to others. So, mark and note it on the book's inside cover, or make a note in the e-book, and remember to include the page number where you found it. Immediately after you finish reading the book, transfer the notes to your computer.
You will be surprised at how quickly you amass a pool of quotes that will make your communications sparkle. And, you could always turn the quotes into screen savers if you have some digital photographs.
