Earlier AI video models fell apart after five to ten seconds. Coherence drifted. Faces warped. Physics broke down entirely. Kling 3.0 holds together for a full 15 seconds. Long takes, plot twists, and smooth transitions are now possible without the drift that plagued earlier versions.
Physics simulation is the headline improvement. The model simulates gravity, balance, and inertia. Body movements look real. Fabric behaves correctly. Lighting holds across frames. Clips look filmed, not rendered.

Kling AI runs on a credit system with five tiers. The free plan gives 66 credits per day. Videos carry a watermark and queues run slow. Standard is $10 per month with 660 credits. Pro is $37 per month with 3,000 credits. Premier is $92 per month with 8,000 credits.
The Ultra plan started at $128 per month in August 2025. It has since risen to $180 per month with 26,000 credits. Credits on paid plans are valid for two years. That allows stockpiling for larger projects. One thing new users miss: audio generation costs roughly double the credits of video-only generation. Budget accordingly.
There is no unlimited plan. Under 30 videos per month, Kling beats Runway on price. Above 50 videos per month, Runway's $95 unlimited plan wins. The credit model rewards moderate users and penalises heavy volume work.
Where It Falls Short
The credit system has no safety net. Failed generations still consume credits. Stuck renders do too. Several users have reported missing monthly credit regenerations on active subscriptions. Support is email-only. Response times are slow. These matter if you are using the tool commercially.
Character consistency is weaker than Runway Gen-4 for extended narrative work. Multi-person lip-sync is still imprecise. Quality drops noticeably after 30 seconds of extension. For short social content, these limitations rarely appear. For long-form storytelling, they surface quickly.
Start monthly billing. Test your use case on the free tier first. The platform rewards careful, prompt craft. It penalises impulsive generation.
Who Should Use Kling AI
Social media managers, product marketers, indie filmmakers, and e-commerce creators will benefit most. The three-minute ceiling, integrated audio, and physics-aware rendering makes it the strongest tool in the category for short-form content at scale.
Sora 2 from OpenAI still does not support most of the world. Kling does. Runway offers better character consistency for narrative work. Kling offers better value at low-to-moderate volumes. Many professional creators now run both tools for different use cases.
