Recently I attended a Toronto Girl Geeks event, “Build, Analyze & Optimize with Google” held at Google Toronto. The event was led by Hanoi Morillo who has been working at Google for 6 years. Morillo suggested that there are five reports in Google Analytics that we should be interested in.

Report One: Understand Page Efficiency
- Look at your bounce rate.
- How engaged are your readers?
- What value have you created?
Report Two: Acquisition Source Efficiency
- Understand all your sources of traffic.
- Understand new visits (prospects) vs. returns.
- Were your visitors engaged?
Report Three: Is My Website Optimized for all the Relevant Devices?
- Fifty percent of Canadians own a smartphone. Is your website mobile friendly?
- Look at analytics to determine how many people are accessing your website with a mobile device.
Report Four: In & Out
- Understand the user journey.
- What are they doing on your website?
Report Five: Multi Channels Funnels
- What happens after you tweet something?
- What happens after your TV commercial is aired?
- How do your different channels work together?
