Reading globally is a way to understand and make sense of the world around us. It not only broadens your perspective, but it also gives you more ideas to draw on. Additionally, it enables you to be more empathetic to those who may be different from yourself. Each of the 13 books will teach you something profound, and you will get to travel virtually around the world. I must warn you that some of the books are very difficult to read, in terms of subject matter, especially Hunger by Knut Hamsun. In July, I will have another global book list for summer 2013.
