Summer 2014 Reading List

I thought about creating a list of books that I have already read to include on my book recommendations for summer 2014 reading list (15 book recommendations Summer 2012), but decided against it. Instead, the list consists of the books that I plan to read. I have not read a lot of the books that I intended to read this year because I am focused on the courses that I am taking for my informal liberal arts education. Although I am someone who is capable of spending three hours learning in the mornings, I am finding that when a lesson is over an hour in length, that’s all that I can deal with, and it is very difficult for me to read any classic literature after that. The course that I am taking right now, each lesson is two hours long, so most of the reading I am doing is escape reading.

During the summer when the pace is slower, people get caught up on reading for entertainment, as they take their vacation. I am taking off some time to write in the mornings and in the afternoons, I am getting caught up on my reading. Here are some of the books that are on my list:

The good thing about my Summer 2014 Reading List is that I already have all the books so I have no excuse.
