Have you planted new seeds for spring?

(My review), Jim Rohn uses the seasons as a metaphor for the stages of human life. Winter is a time where we learn how to survive, and this past winter has been long and cold in Toronto, and we literally had to learn how to survive the cold weather and the ice storm that left many people without electricity for more than a week, during the holiday season. We are now into spring, it's not as cold as winter, but it is still very cold on some days.
Jim Rohn refers to spring as the Window of Opportunity. This is the time when we plant new seeds, and we know that if we do not plant seeds we will not have any fruits to harvest in the Fall. I just realized that summer is three weeks away, and time is moving along quickly. Have you taken the time to plant new seeds? What seeds of opportunity do you have access to? What simple changes can you make in your life to reap big rewards? What can you do now to prevent disappointment later?
The time to plant new seeds is now, in the spring, since summer is the season to Nurture and Protect. At that time, we have to protect the plants from weeds, bugs, and anything that may harm them. This is critical for our harvest.
If we take the time to Do the Work (My review of Do the Work by Steven Pressfield), we will have nothing to fear later. In Pressfield's book, Do the Work
, he helps us to move through the resistance, the things that will prevent us from planting new seeds. Not all of the seeds that we plant in the spring will survive, but if we plant enough on fertile soil, nurture and protect them in the summer, we will have something to Harvest in the fall. I am trying to practice what I preach by planting my seeds now. I am not going as fast as I would like, but I am taking baby steps. For me, I am doing the work, which will enable me to write my book. I have created The Invisible Mentor so that I can create the app for that. Planting new seeds are not easy, it takes time and commitment, but there is no way around it, if we expect to have a bountiful harvest.
