The Hunt for Invisible Mentors

If you are on the hunt for invisible mentors, good places to start are reading biographies and famous speeches and some not so famous speeches. Reading biographies enable you to learn about the lives and accomplishments of others. You can get a sense of who has done what you are trying to do, or perhaps get ideas of what you could be doing. Reading speeches can give you a look at who the person is by their choice of words and the way they say things.

Here is a website that I found that has links to many biography websites. This website is also segmented by ethnicity as well as type: women, artists, scientists, athletes and so on.

Here are a few websites that have speeches. Many of us know about famous speeches, but how many of us have read speeches given by women who have been awarded Nobel Prizes. Once in a while it’s good to read things that we usually would not read.
